OUR STORY: We met at church in 1998 which we are still fellowshipping in today. He first asked me to be his friend but our friendship turned romantic. Later that year he asked me to be his girlfriend on the 23 October 1998. I thought he was just not serious so I asked him to say “I Love you “six times. Ever since then, ‘times 6’ became our “I Love you” code. We were only 14yrs but determined to make this work so we came up with a motto for our relationship that is “to be less than Lovers and more than friends”. It confused me as well but worked for us. We got engaged 10years later and married on the 11th years. THE PROPOSAL: There was no on bended knee, with a ring in his hand and will you marry me. It was Just” Destiny (as he calls me), I spoke to my parents last night and told them about our dream to get married this year. So, boMalome are coming in April (2009). So I will ask them to write the letter if it’s okay with you.”  It was more than okay with me though I had to keep it a secret until they sent the letter. And the excitement was killing me. He gave me a watch (I love very much) as a gift for the engagement. THE WEDDING DAY: The day was perfect in every way, the venues, the weather, the décor, the food, the bridal party and of course my husband to be. The wedding day was all sunshine. The ceremony venue was overflowing with family and friends. The fun began when my husband to be walked down the aisle wearing his favourite sunglasses, followed by the adorable ring bearer and flower girl. Walked down aisle by the man who loved and protected me all my life was an amazing feeling. My father and I shared that special moment. The closer I got to my husband to be, my heart just melted as he smiled at me. He looked stunning. When exchanging vows, I just fell in love with him all over again. I was assured that he will be my best friend, my love and my soulmate forever. That moment I will cherish Forever.  The reception was beautifully decorated with with roses and candles and my favourite colours wine red, white, silver and a touch of black. With our ever so professional master of ceremony the program was short and flowing. That gave us more time to get intimate with our guests. Our friends surprised us with our favourite Gospel artist Lufuno ‘Buda’ Mudau. That made the day extra special as he sang all our favourite songs from his CD – Easter Praise. We danced to Kenny Lattimore – All my tomorrows. It was special as it was our first dance and the newly weds. My Husbands Colleague sang for us a Song by Cake Winans – I Promise (wedding song). Our parents joint us for the cutting of the cake. WHAT WE LEARNED: Any seeds that you sow in other people’s lives will be your harvest when you need help. Our Family and Friends offered their time, money  and so much help. On our own we could not have had what we wanted. Show favour to others and they will do the same for you.
