Elsje Slabbert

There are three highlights when I look back at our wedding: 1 - when the "dominee" asked us to give each other the right hand and I then realised that I'm Mrs Slabbert ! 2 - My husband's speech in which he wrote me a poem - "Our wedding poem". Even though the sentences rhymed like Grade One poem it gave me goosebumps !  3 - To share the evening with my friends and family in a candlelit bedouin tent till sunrise the next morning.My husband and I are the proverbial "opposites attract".  He's the waterfall, I'm the fireworks.  He's the dreamer, I'm the doer. We give each other that something extra that you need, to make each day fantastic, and to strive to be a better person.My wedding was the perfect beginning for the perfect life with the man of my dreams.
