...After five years my lovely now-husband, finally proposed to me on the exact same spot where he had asked me to be his girlfriend five years ago. Of course I immediately said yes! Everything I have ever imagined and dreamt of, was about to come true. I had my entire twenty-seven-years to plan my wedding in my head, now it was time to put it all down on paper and make it a reality! I managed to find my pitch black roses, my designer dress and the most gorgeous venue. Everything was magical. Even more than the amazing appearance of it all, was how happy we both were. Having a fiancé that was just as excited about the entire wedding as I was, was such a blessing. We counted the days off until the days turned into hours and the hours into minutes. My father walked me down the aisle and my mentally challenged brother brought in our rings. As we said our vows, the rain started falling on the roof of the chapel - a clear sign that we now had God's final approval on our marriage. Everything was perfect. The rain stopped as we were announced "husband and wife" and the glow on my face of happiness, was hard to miss. It was our perfect day. I still get emotional when I look at the photos, simply because God's grace and blessing was hard to miss. We have been married just over a month now, but still feel like we are on honeymoon. I can't wait for our golden anniversary!
