I married my best friend. Our relationship was formed from an amazing friendship and thats how I know our marriage will endure anything. It was a beautiful autumn day. I wouldn't have minded if it had rained, but it cleared up just in time for the wedding after it had been raining all week. It had to be the most beautiful day of the year. I know that every bride feels like that, but my day felt magical. Outside my bedroom at the lodge, there were two dragonflies who came to sit by my window. The morning air was fresh and the sun was warm on my skin. The only sound were the birds chirping. I could see the chapel from my window. Two horses grazed right outside! The very first snow appeared on the mountains that morning in direct view of my window! I knew the day was blessed. The ceremony was private with just our best friends, parents and closest family attending. This made it feel even more sacred to us. We were alone in the presence of God. When my hubby saw me as I entered the chapel his eyes welled up with tears. And I started shaking. I practically ran down the aisle. I just couldn't get to him fast enough!Later at the reception all the people we loved were there to celebrate it with us. The venue looked beautiful as if it were out of a fairytale. Silver trees and fairylights surrounded by a halo of pale blue and pale pink. Our wedding was in the details......We were in the details. We had done everything ourselves, from the gifts to the centerpieces without a co-ordinator. The hard work had paid off. It looked spectacular! We danced the night away. It really was the most magnificent day of our lives and we will treasure our memories. It was all we had wished for and much more. If I could, I would do it all again without changing a thing. It was over too soon! Everyone is still telling us that it is the most beautiful and special wedding they have ever attended!
